On the Right Track

“Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray.” Proverbs 22:6
Sorry for the late post. It’s a half-day of school, so I took a full day of vacation. Kind of lazy around the Dispatch offices today. But I’m on my third cup of coffee, so here goes.
It’s a half-day of school because parent-teacher conferences are this afternoon. I’m looking forward to hearing about how gifted and amazing each of our kids are. Er, or whatever. Mostly I’m looking forward to telling the teachers what an amazing job they’re doing. We’re seven weeks into the school year and things are going well; frankly, the school year has surpassed my highest hopes. Our kids are getting just what they need, even during this weirdest of school years. Well done, Grace teachers!
To teachers everywhere, thanks for doing what you do. I’m sure you don’t hear that enough. Keep it up. You’ve got this!
And for a day off, this is long enough.
Be well, friends. You are loved.
God of wisdom, thank you for teaching us your ways. Thank you for those who lead us to know Jesus, the Way. May we be faithful in sharing faith and wisdom with the children in our midst. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
